Remote Video & Digital Marketing Contractor (Commission-Based)

About the Opportunity

We are a small, veteran-operated, family-owned startup looking for a motivated college student or recent graduate who wants hands-on experience in video editing and digital marketing.

As an early-stage business, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape our online presence, experiment with content and marketing strategies, and see how your work directly contributes to company growth — all of which makes for strong résumé and interview experience.

This is a commission-based independent contractor role with a flexible schedule and fully remote work.

What You’ll Work On

  • Editing short-form and long-form video content for digital platforms

  • Creating and repurposing content for social media and online campaigns

  • Supporting lead generation through:

    • Social media marketing (organic and paid)

    • Google Ads

    • Content-driven outreach and experimentation

  • Tracking performance and learning how content translates into measurable leads

Please note: This role focuses only on marketing and lead generation. You will not communicate directly with clients, conduct sales calls, or close deals. All client interaction and onboarding is handled internally.

Skills You’ll Build

  • Practical video editing for real business use

  • Social media and content marketing fundamentals

  • Experience with Google Ads and paid marketing

  • Understanding how content drives leads and growth

  • Startup experience with ownership and measurable outcomes

Compensation

  • Commission-based pay tied to direct sales

  • No earnings cap

Who Should Apply

  • College students or recent graduates interested in marketing, media, communications, or business

  • Those with experience with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, etc.) or willingness to learn

  • Interest in social media marketing, content creation, and digital advertising

  • Self-motivated individuals comfortable working independently who want experience they can actually talk about

  • Prior professional experience is not required

Independent Contractor Classification

This role is offered as an independent contractor position. Contractor acknowledges that this relationship is that of an independent contractor and not an employee or intern, regardless of any title used for résumé or portfolio purposes.

Contractors:

  • Set their own schedule

  • Are responsible for their own taxes

  • Must sign a written contractor agreement prior to engagement
