Shooting well above it’s weight class, JEDAIR’s plane stands out among the rest.

Composite Airframe
Composite is a newer material compared to the average trainer that is made of an aluminum alloy. It provides an efficient, fast ride that remains stable, all while being safe and immune to rust! The composite airframe has no life limitation either, and it’s expected to outlast any of our lives.
-
Unique Controls
This airplane is equipped with a center stick instead of a conventional yoke. The center stick provides extremely stable and easy handling, while being super fun to fly, almost like a sports car. Further, the prop control (blue lever) gives this plane great performance in any phase of flight by allowing the pilot to make the propeller efficient at all times.

G1000 Avionics and GFC 700 Autopilot
The G1000 is an incredible platform to learn to fly on. The hardest thing about it is to not look at it! Especially for IFR, this platform makes flying easy and gives incredible situational awareness, improving safety and better preparing pilots for transitioning into more complex aircraft, such as the ones at the airlines. The autopilot is the world-class GFC700, the best autopilot in the GA fleet. As a result, this aircraft is considered a Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA), perfect for economical and efficient commercial training.
-
Interior
This aircraft is equipped with a pristine interior and extremely soft seat covers to ensure a comfortable ride for every passenger (but especially the front ones)! Not only that, but three doors make entering and exiting the aircraft a breeze for every passenger, unlike many planes that only have one or two doors and often require great flexibility and effort to enter and exit, which could be a safety hazard (not to mention your dignity!).

Robust 180hp Lycoming Engine
This DA40-180 features the tried and true 180HP Lycoming IO-360 engine, which is widely used across reliable trainers ranging from Piper’s to Cessna’s. Ask any mechanic and they’ll praise it’s bullet-proof reliability and resilience. Because it is fuel injected, you do not have the same risks with carburetor icing that could result in engine failure like you would in many aircraft.
-
Canopy
The DA40’s iconic bubble canopy provides excellent visibility in all directions to an unparalleled in low wing aircraft.
-
Glider Wings
Diamond made gliders before making aircraft, and that design experience transitioned well, as the design of the aircraft give the Diamond one of the best glide performance available in any powered aircraft. This provides superior safety in the event of the incredibly unlikely (but not impossible) engine failure scenario. Any aircraft has this risk, but the best one to be in when it happens is the one that performs the best without it’s engine, and that crown goes to the Diamond.
